Here are some memories of Mrs. Liz Smith, my favorite teacher
I went to Mrs. Smith's home for some reason and
noticing a New York Times,
I mentioned my parents were former New Yorkers. Mrs. Smith said, laughing, that
she was called a communist because she got the Sunday Times.
summer after I graduated Central, Mrs. Smith asked me to attend a book group
for black and white kids who were going to college. I remember being surprised there
were black kids my age since I never saw them and especially ones who were going
to college. We met after dark in someone's house on a very dark cul-de-sac.
Mrs. Smith didn't want anyone to see usentering the house together in case there

Sarah Love Swanton, of Collierville, was dragged, kicking and screaming down
the information super highway, into the 21st century. Love, who declined to give her
age, reportedly received a computer during the Christmas season. She and Ronnie,
her husband of many years, have decided to name their e-mail address after
“Handsome Jimmy Valliant” a local ‘wrasslin’ personality. It was also revealed
that the couple are expecting their 2nd grandchild in July. I know she’d enjoy hearing
I/13 - Gene Fulghum had a total right hip replacement, returning home from
rehab on the 22nd. Gene
will continue to rely upon a walker until Feb.1, and will be
able to drive in late Feb. All of those who laughed at the "MEMORIES" in which Gene
was the 'BUTT' of the joke should send him an e-mail, BEF4LAW@aol.com, apologizing.

commemorate their 60th birthdays, Buddy Boswell and Bobby Pepper
treated to a surprise four-day trip to New Orleans, compliments of their wives, Diane
and Lynn. MUST SEE PICS
